This Mountain Resort property offers consistently exceptional, friendly service staffed by attentive professionals like Art, complemented by excellent amenities including multiple pools, hot tubs, and a convenient shuttle to park City Mountain. Recent operational issues regarding construction, pool closures, and food quality have impacted guests' experiences recently.
I cannot explain how much this hotel saved our trip. We had outstanding service all week and then our flights got cancelled and we were stuck in Utah for another 2 days. The staff was very attentive and always smiling. They always remembered details about my group and I then asked follow up questions based on conversations from a day or two ago. Brittany was an absolutely fabulous help during our chaos of staying an extra two days. The shuttle drivers were attentive and always helpful with recommendations or accommodating pickups. The weekday park city mountain shuttle driver (I believe her name was Tenley) was my favorite. It was a very close competition though. I cannot recommend this place enough. ALSO they had hot chocolate and cookies everyday when we came back from the mountain such a cute touch.
Rooms was clean and beautiful. Staff was amazing and very accommodating. We were able to rent skis on the main floor, they had free hot chocolate and cookies every day, and the breakfast from the hotel restaurant was so good! Wife has Celiac and she was able to get an omelette and they even made her gluten free almond flour pancakes, plus there was no cross contamination so she didn't get sick. They also have a shuttle that took us to and from deer valley ski resort, and to our dinner reservations later on. Will definitely use this hotel again for our next ski trip!
Amazing hotel, staff is very friendly and nice. The rooms are nice and get cleaned regularly. Amenities are amazing, there is an indoor hot tub, an outdoor hot tub, an indoor pool, outdoor pool, and a sauna and steam room. There is also a fitness center that was very clean, and to top it off it’s 5 minutes away from the park city ski resort. Overall a hotel worth staying.
The customer service was wonderful, and the rooms were spacious enough for one person and was clean. I appreciate having a spacious bathroom as well. The hotel is conveniently located not too far from stories and groceries, and only about 40 minutes from the airport. It had a great experience.
As someone who travels a lot (over 130 hotel nights each year), I was blown away by the hotel staff here. Every single person we interacted with was so friendly, professional, and went out of their way to check in on us and make sure that we had everything we needed. Shout out to the entire check-in/front desk team, the two shuttle drivers, and the restaurant staff - you all rock. Would definitely stay here again just because of the staff.
We travel to Park City every year and have stayed at several properties over the years, including Hotel Park City, St. Regis, and the Sheraton. This stay at Hotel Thaynes (a Marriott Bonvoy property) was a good experience overall. The hotel is new and very comfortable. The pool and sauna area were a standout—perfect for unwinding after a day on the mountain. The atmosphere felt relaxed. The kids loved the hot chocolate and cookies presented each day from 4-6pm. My only suggestion for improvement would be the coffee situation. For a hotel of this caliber, there really should be a quality coffee option on-site. There’s no decent coffee available without leaving the property, which was surprising given the otherwise great experience. We had to use DoorDash each morning for our coffee. Overall, a good stay and a hotel I’d consider returning to—if the coffee game gets elevated to match the rest of the experience.
This hotel is relatively new and it surpassed expectations. While the rooms were small, the staff were friendly, the pool facilities were great, and the location was not the greatest but still near many bus lines and there was a free shuttle. Rooms were nice and modern but on the smaller side, while amenities included free hot chocolate and cookies. Rental shop also convenient.
Thaynes Hotel in Park City has quickly become a place we truly look forward to returning to. This is our second year in a row staying here, and the biggest reason we came back is because of Art, the manager, Ana and the rest of his great team. Art is an absolutely outstanding professional, welcoming, and genuinely caring person. He goes above and beyond to make sure everything is handled and that guests feel taken care of. His hospitality and attention to detail set the tone for the entire hotel, and the service here is truly top-notch because of him. Most hotels you just feel like another reservation, but not here. From the moment you walk in and see the fireplace to the hot chocolate and cookies after a long cold day to the amazing breakfast every morning and the free shuttle that takes you into town every 15 minutes, you know you are truly taken care of and thought about as a guest. It feels like home, not just a hotel. We first stayed last year (before the remodel) and already had a great experience. This year, the recent remodel is amazing, everything feels fresh, updated, and even more comfortable. You can tell a lot of thought and effort went into the upgrades, and it made our stay even better. If you’re staying in Park City and want great accommodations with exceptional service, I highly recommend Thaynes Hotel especially with Art leading the way. His team is great! We’ll definitely be back hopefully every single year and next year we’re bringing our entire family!!
We have travelled extensively throughout the World. We have never encountered a hotel that was as horrible as the Peaks. We had a prepaid reservation at the Peaks for arrival on 07/03/2025, which was the day before the July 4th holiday weekend. My wife, who is hemiplegic, and I arrived at the Peaks at 5:30 PM on 07/03/2025. There was a sign on the entrance door stating that the Peaks was closed. I looked through the glass entrance doors and saw a lobby that was demolished and under construction. It was obvious that the construction had begun well before we made our reservation. There were two contact phone numbers on the closed notice on the door. I called the first number and was told that I had to call the other number. I called the second number and was told that they would do nothing to help us find alternative lodgings. As far as Peaks was concerned, my hemiplegic wife and could sleep on the street. Luckily, we found an alternate hotel. Later I left messages for the Peaks manager to call me and for the Peaks' reservation service to call me. Idid not receive the courtesy of a call back from either. Would you really want to support such a horrific hotel as is the Peaks? It is my individual, personal, subjective opinion, belief, and interpretation that I was ripped off by this company. After seeing my review, the General Manager of the hotel published a mealy mouthed reply apologizing for the problem we encountered. The General Manager stated in his reply to my review: "A member of our leadership team will be in contact with you." Why am I not surprised that I have not been contacted by anyone from the hotel and that my phone messages have not been returned by the hotel. It looks to me like the hotel's response to my review was a rather dishonest attempt to control the damage my review may have caused the hotel. Hotel is under renovation, no discounts on price. Pools closed. I look out my window and see about 15 rats running around the sitting area near the fire pit at 7:30am. I watched new customers come in and sit there. I mentioned this to the manager and he said “those are outside Rats”, Yikes
