This property offers a prime location near Canyons Village, characterized by friendly staff and comfortable rooms with free shuttles, but it is marred by inconsistent housekeeping, frequent cancellations of reservations if not checked in by 4 PM, and varying breakfast availability based on booking terms.

The convenience to Canyons Village was the main reason we booked and it worked out well, 5 mins drive to the garage at the bottom of the Cabriolet. Just know that if you want to get to Mountain Village from Canyons Village you need to take the Quicksilver lift which can be susceptible to wind hold. We were fine driving for the convenience of coming and going when we liked but there’s also a free shuttle at the hotel running every 30 mins, just make sure you sign up ahead of time. The breakfast was pretty average, usually a protein, potato, fruit, yogurt, waffle/french toast sticks and various carbs (bread, donut holes, bagels, cereal). There’s also an early evening snack that gets put out right at 5pm, usually one small item like sliders, chicken tenders, tacos as well as a veggie plate. There’s a hot beverage station 24/7, it runs out occasionally but the staff are responsive to restocking when it’s brought to their attention. The room was good overall. You can hear the room above if you’re on the first floor, ski boots come through exceptionally well. Otherwise the water was hot and high pressure, blackout curtains, comfortable bed and a bathroom vanity that fit a lot of items.

From check-in to check-out, the staff at Hyatt Place was attentive to every request or question I had. The location is in an awkward spot that is very inconvenient for food options if you don’t have a car, but there are city bus stops immediately outside the lobby entrance that will take you to Kimball Junction or Park City’s Main Street at no charge that have broad dining options. The The rooms were comfortably sized and clean. I want to specifically mention Dawn at the front desk, Valentina at the breakfast hostess stand, and the young lady from Argentina driving the shuttle whose name I believe is Risia(?). Terribly sorry for not getting her name exact! They all provided excellent service with a smile. There was also a gentleman who I believe was a maintenance technician or supervisor whose name I didn’t get, but I recall he was from the Central Valley in California. He provided excellent recommendations around the city after I’d told him I wasn’t able to continue with my winter sports plans after my first day. Thanks to all for your hospitality.

I stay exclusively at Hyatt’s and this one may be the worst one I’ve stayed in. The tv never stayed connected for longer than 10 minutes couldn’t even watch a movie. Lamp on right side of bed that connects to the wall is gone. We were on the bottom floor and we could hear everything above us sounded like an earthquake every second of the day. I’d recommend the grand Hyatt over this worth every penny more. Staff was nice

We stayed at Hyatt Place Park City for about five days, booking through Expedia as the best financial option while skiing in Park City. No one specifically referred us to this hotel, but its close proximity to the base area was the main reason we chose it — and wow, bingo! The hotel is super conveniently located near Canyons Village and not too far from the Park City ski area. One of the biggest highlights was the complimentary shuttle service, running about every 30 minutes (as I remember), making getting to and from skiing extremely easy. A huge thank you to Jeff, our shuttle driver — what a wonderful asset to this hotel! Jeff was always smiling, super friendly, and reliably picked us up and dropped us off after long days of skiing. Outstanding service. The entire Hyatt Place team was very welcoming, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and breakfast was included — definitely worth it to start the day right. As a bonus, the hotel offers a 5 PM snack, which was always nice to grab. They also have ski equipment rental on-site, a nice pool, and a gym, which made our stay even more convenient. My family would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting Park City, and we will definitely be coming back again — 5 stars for

Extremely disappointed with how our situation was handled by the Assistant General Manager. Due to an unexpected emergency, we asked for flexibility to cancel or reschedule our stay. Despite explaining the circumstances, we were told there were no options—no reschedule, no extension, no goodwill consideration. As a result, we lost all of the Hyatt points used for this reservation—points we had saved for nearly two years. What made this especially frustrating was the lack of empathy or willingness to even explore alternatives. It felt like policy was cited without any attempt to help a loyal guest. I’ve stayed with Hyatt many times because of the brand’s reputation for guest care, but this experience fell far below expectations. I hope Hyatt reviews how situations like this are handled, because losing years’ worth of points with no flexibility is extremely discouraging.

Courteous and professional staff, breakfast was remarkable, every individual we encountered was so friendly. Room was excellent, clean and roomy, beautiful fall color view from the room. Staff also provided great restaurant and activity recommendations. We loved staying here and hope to be back with friends!

It’s been 72 business hours and still no response from the manager. The front desk asked me to email the manager directly after checking out and I still have not heard back. I’ve always enjoyed staying with Hyatt, but this visit was full of issues that really affected my experience. Our room wasn’t ready until right at 4 p.m. when we checked in. Housekeeping never cleaned our room the last day even though I asked multiple times and confirmed at the front desk. The front desk later said they only do house cleaning in the morning which if that were true why would they tell me at noon the same day they would do it? We never got the towels we were promised either until I asked after 7pm a second time on Sunday evening, and there appears to be mold in the shower. On Saturday, our keys stopped working and we had to be escorted to our room. Even at the restaurant, items on the menu weren’t available. It also felt like the property was understaffed — I even had to ask multiple times just to get my friend added to the room. I checked in with my credit card then they had to re check me in an hour later. They also confirmed I was in the same room the third night and shut off my keys the third day and had me redo my payment method again that third day. Overall, it was just one issue after another. All of this is well documented.

Checking in was a disaster, associates had no idea what to do, going through a new system! They say they are a 4 Star place to stay, but really a 2 star service. The breakfast was un pleasant, watery fake eggs and not pleasing to the eye. You have folks who are high end and serve them 2 star food, not good ?. Would not want to stay there again.!! The magical nursery that's just north of the Hyatt was spectacular to go visit on a Sunday morning, beautiful flowers and plants. And better food and coffee.

Terrible experience with Hyatt Place Park City. Be aware that you must be 21 to check in to this hotel, even if Hyatt's general policy is 18, and even if you contacted Hyatt in advance to make sure either you or your 18 year old daughter could check in. Apparently this hotel is affiliated with another company in addition to Hyatt and has a different policy. I spoke with both Brittany and Paul about the situation. Brittany assured me multiple times that she would refund my points, but only half were refunded. She took my number and said she would call me, but didn't. Paul took my number and said he would call me, but didn't. I left a message a few days later for both of them, neither responded. It's been 2 weeks, no response from anyone. Was told that no one in Park City would rent a hotel room to an 18 year old, but the Holiday Inn Express had no problem renting to an 18 year old. Was told on the phone that 18 year olds could not be in the lobby because they sell alcohol there, but my 18 year old daughter was told she could wait in the lobby until I arrived to check her in. I was 3 hours away. My plan was to come the next day. Was told by Paul that an 18 year old could stay the night in the hotel alone, just couldn't check in without an adult over 21. Was told by Brittney that an 18 year old can't stay the night in the hotel alone without an adult over 21. Either way, this policy is ridiculous, and so was the customer service. Don't stay here. Try Holiday Inn Express & Suites Park City by IHG, they were fantastic.

Don’t check in too long after 4pm or your room will be given away! After driving 12 hours with 3 small children, we pulled up to the Hyatt to learn our room was given away and they had no rooms left. We were promised a refund and a comped stay at a similar hotel. Sounds good. The hotel was not similar, no pool, old and run down. We ended up booking another hotel in Midway on our dime because we were supposedly getting a refund. Over 2.5 weeks later and no refund. I have contacted Lora (assistant manager) multiple times thru phone and email with no response. So booking at the Hyatt ended up wasting my time and cost me double by the end of it and I didn’t even get past the lobby!
