Waldorf Astoria Park City offers exceptional, personalized service and luxurious amenities, particularly highlighted by its convenient ski valet and warm hot cocoa/s’mores atmosphere. However, recent negative reviews indicate inconsistent quality control, with reports of plumbing issues, faux toiletries, lack of non-dairy milk options, unreliable room service, and misleading claims about ski-in/ski-out access.
Ski valet is fantastic and the nightly hot cocoa is amazing. Big issue with service: the night shuttle was one van for way too many people, and staff kept passing us back and forth like a hot potato. Ended up waiting outside in near-freezing rain for an hour before someone finally helped us get an Uber. Morning coffee is basically water, breakfast sausages were super dry, and the Aesop toiletries were inconsistent, one of the bottles seemed fake! Great location and cozy touches, but service and some basics need serious improvement.
Our recent stay at the Waldorf Astoria was extremely disappointing and far below what we expect from a property carrying this brand name. What is marketed as an ultimate five-star resort felt closer to a one-star experience where basic standards and guest care were consistently lacking. From the moment we entered the room, issues were apparent. We found hair in the shower upon arrival, and throughout our stay there was no hot water in the sinks. At a property of this caliber and price point, cleanliness and fully functioning plumbing should be absolute baseline expectations — not problems guests have to deal with. We arrived close to midnight after a six-hour flight, exhausted and planning to order room service. The room service line went straight to voicemail. After calling the front desk, we were informed that the restaurant was completely closed — not just for room service, but entirely — and therefore no room service was available at all. Instead, we were told we could order McDonald’s delivery. Being directed to fast food upon arrival at what is supposed to be a premier luxury resort was unacceptable. The lack of proper food and beverage standards continued throughout the stay. Basic five-star offerings were missing — for example, there were no non-dairy milk options for coffee to go, only regular milk. We heard multiple guests complaining about the same issue. At this level, having options like oat milk should be a given, not something unavailable. Amenities were also poorly managed. One of the two hot tubs was closed, leaving the other overcrowded and unusable. The pool was so cold that no one used it. These are core resort features, yet they felt neglected. Despite being marketed as ski-in/ski-out, the property does not truly offer that convenience. The “trail” back to the hotel is actually a golf course, which in February had no snow on it. Guests must walk to the gondola and ride it down just to return to the property — very misleading for a ski destination hotel. As we were departing on our final day, we noticed that the entire third floor — including our room — had developed a disgusting odor. We were grateful we were leaving as it became noticeable, but it was yet another example of how this property seemed to drop the ball at every turn. To make matters worse, much of the staff felt indifferent and disengaged. There was a noticeable lack of urgency, warmth, and accountability throughout our stay. This experience did not reflect five-star standards in service, amenities, or overall execution. Unfortunately, this stay was far below the level expected from the Waldorf Astoria name.
Came here for our honeymoon the first week of February. We loved this hotel. They had a hot cocoa station every night and s'mores. The staff was friendly, helpful and kind. The hot tub was a vibe in the pool area. The rooms were super cute and clean, ours had a fire place inside. They also have a Pilates studio! The location was great. All around terrific experience.
Stayed here for our honeymoon and could not have been more blown away by the personal touches, service quality, and luxury amenities. Our room upgrade for our Hilton status was incredible, welcome amenities were so thoughtful, and the proximity to the mountain for our days of snowboarding was perfect. The Ski Valet is one of the best perks I have ever experienced at a resort - ready access to our equipment every day and warm, dry boots! Quick gondola ride to get to the Canyon Village where we started each day on the slopes - close enough to be near the action but also gave the resort some privacy by not being in the immediate village. The shuttle to main street was also invaluable. Team members were sensational. Igancio at the front desk, Chef Stuart, Aaron at Powder all made the visit that much more special. Huge thanks to the team, we will be back!
We had an amazing stay at the Waldorf Astoria in Park City! The staff was fantastic, but the bellmen were truly exceptional. Tyler went above and beyond, he helped us take some awesome photos, gave great recommendations, and even suggested a Head Spa in SLC called Scalp Ritual for a girls’ day experience (Kay was amazing!). Plus, just a couple of doors down, we enjoyed some incredible Thai food. Highly recommend!
This hotel was absolutely gorgeous, extremely cozy, elegant, and beautifully designed. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. Every single person we interacted with was incredibly kind, professional, and welcoming. From the valet who took care of our car, to the staff opening doors, assisting with luggage, and checking in on us throughout our stay, the level of professionalism and genuine hospitality was unmatched. We absolutely loved our stay, and we all felt truly taken care of. This was an exceptional experience, and we will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended!
The Waldorf NEVER lets us down! The friendly staff is always willing to go out of their way to ensure we have a great stay. We have stayed at the Park City Waldorf several times and they never disappoint. Their gourmet cocoa in the lobby on the cold winter evenings is a great way to get ready to jump on their shuttle to main street to enjoy downtown: always punctual and efficient. When you get back, their s'more kits are waiting for you and your family to enjoy next to one of their many roaring fire pits. There is NOTHING like being outside in the cold night air, looking up at the stars and making treats and memories with your family by the fire. Their rooms are immaculately maintained and inviting. The kitchens are stocked with every utensil and appliance you could possibly need and are all high-end. The pool is so warm you can enjoy it in the dead of winter, but the hot tubs are even better! Every time we've been there, they have live performers in the lobby. Whether a guitarist, pianist, or even a violinist. Everything about the Waldorf is relaxing and inviting.
Our stay at the Waldorf Astoria Park City was absolutely outstanding. From start to finish, the level of service exceeded every expectation. Marie at check-in made us feel genuinely welcomed right away. She is truly a sweetheart. Dallin at the concierge worked magic for us and went above and beyond to make our experience seamless. And Antonio surprised us with an incredible birthday treat that was both thoughtful and unforgettable. Every single team member we encountered was an absolute delight. This was my first time visiting Park City, and I didn’t even look at any other hotels, and now I never will. The property, the service, and the overall experience were beyond exceptional. I am absolutely thrilled and not only highly recommend this hotel to everyone, but it will also be my go-to place every time I return to Park City. A sincere thank you to the entire Waldorf Astoria Park City team for creating such a memorable stay.
Absolutely incredible experience. We’ve stayed in quite a few hotels but never worthy enough to leave a review. This hotel absolutely met all standards. Rooms were very clean. The housekeeping crew was so nice and did an amazing job each day. The hotel also accommodated us so well with our two little ones by bringing in a crib & diaper genie. I can’t thank them enough for their kind service and hospitality. We will definitely be back soon!
We had an amazing stay at the Waldorf Astoria Park City. We had a room upgrade to an amazing suite. The rooms were incredible—spacious, spotless, and so comfortable. It even had a washer and dryer. The staff deserves special mention: everyone we interacted with was genuinely kind, prompt, and incredibly helpful. We loved the little touches, especially the s’mores by the fire at night and the complimentary shuttle into town. Breakfast was terrific and the bar was fantastic—great atmosphere and drinks. Overall one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. One small note: the “free” breakfast with Amex Platinum doesn’t cover the full breakfast, so be prepared for an extra charge. Still absolutely worth the stay!
