Recent guest reviews for the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Park City paint a mixed picture, with some praising the location, cleanliness, and friendly staff, while others highlight significant issues like spotty internet, uncomfortable temperatures, and concerning staff behavior. Concerns regarding lost belongings and unaddressed problems with hot water have been repeatedly raised.
The hotel is pretty nice but don’t expect to sleep past 7:30 as the cleaners begin to make their rounds and are VERY loud. The internet is very spotty and TV loses signal frequently. I went into the weekend excited about the location and how nice it appeared, but quickly had my mind changed.
I had a very frustrating and upsetting experience. I had personal items that were neatly stored next to my luggage in my room, they were not scattered or left behind in a way that could be mistaken for trash. Despite this, staff removed those items and threw them away. When I first raised the issue, I was told that I may have simply misplaced my belongings, which was not the case. I knew exactly where I had left them. After insisting, I ended up having to go to the back of the hotel and search through the trash myself to recover my items, which was both humiliating and unacceptable. To make matters worse, when I asked for compensation for what happened, I was told that I would need receipts as proof. However, any receipts I may have had were already thrown away along with my belongings. This requirement was never mentioned beforehand, and now I’m being denied compensation because I cannot provide something that was disposed of due to the hotel’s actions. Overall, this situation was handled very poorly. My belongings were wrongly discarded, I was initially not taken seriously, and I was left to dig through trash to try and fix the issue myself. The lack of accountability and refusal to reasonably resolve the situation has made this an extremely disappointing experience.
This is the best Holiday Inn Express I have stayed in so far. Staff is nice and accommodating. The complete property is one of the cleanest hotels I've been in. Location is also a big plus as it is right off the freeway and is in a central location for Park City. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance and shopping if needed.
Overall it was a great stay. Comfortable and clean. Could use some updates and the room had a strong cleaner or fragrant smell and the fan was kind of noisy but everything else was great. Staff was nice, check in/out essy and quick. Lots of free parking. Close to restaurants and walmart.
My visit included no hot water and a blow dryer that didn't work. So, I took a cold shower and did my best before my meeting where I was the presenter. I called the front on both and was told the boiler quit. They never sent up a new blow dryer. What is most frustrating is I didn't hear much concern or apology for either. You pay nearly $200 for the night and you think you might get some empathy when a major deliverable for a room (hot shower) isn't available. Nothing offered to compensate for their fail and I didn't have the time or energy to argue before my presentation.
I got a great deal on a one night stay. The breakfast was great with pancakes, sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereal, fruit, cinnamon rolls, juice, bagels, muffins, etc.
It was clean, comfortable and they had complementary breakfast Service was very welcoming from most people we encountered Also we arrived at night on the 20th and the guy in the checking desk was super nice and very helpful giving us guidance and advice of the area because we mentioned we were from out of town and we had no clue where we were Please Thank him again for me Definitely would use it again if I need to or if I swing by the city Thank you
We stayed at this hotel from December 23–26 for a family Christmas vacation. The location was great, and the rooms were clean and comfortable, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, our experience was negatively affected by ongoing issues with inconsistent hot water during the first two days of our stay. We attempted to call the front desk multiple times, but no one answered, which forced us to go downstairs to speak to someone in person. When we arrived, we found the employee at the front desk sitting with his feet kicked up, which was surprising given that guest calls were going unanswered. We were told the water heating system needed to be restarted and that it would take about 30 minutes for the water to heat back up. In reality, it took nearly an hour, and the same issue happened again the following day. We were informed that the hotel would provide a 15% discount for the days affected by the hot water issue, but later discovered that no discount was ever applied, which was very disappointing especially considering the cost of staying during the holiday season. While the hotel does have positives such as cleanliness and a great location, the lack of hot water, difficulty reaching staff, and the unfulfilled promise of compensation took away from what should have been an enjoyable family vacation.
The hotel was so hot, I nearly got heat stroke in the lobby. This dry blasting heat eventually makes it into your room so forced to turn on A/C. Not sure how they work in these conditions. There is also no place to hang your clothes, if you don’t want the person staying with to see you.. it’s difficult.
? Bad Internet for a 4-Week Stay: Holiday Inn Express in Park City, UT I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Park City for an extended period—four weeks—and the single most frustrating and debilitating issue was the terrible internet service. For a short stay, bad Wi-Fi is an inconvenience; for a long-term guest, it's a critical failure. The speed was consistently slow and unreliable. I constantly had trouble with: Video Conferencing: Frequent drops and freezing, making remote work nearly impossible. Streaming: Unable to reliably watch movies or shows without constant buffering. Basic Browsing: Even simple website loading was frustratingly slow at peak times. When you are committing to a full month at a hotel, reliable high-speed internet is an absolute necessity, especially in this day and age. This level of connectivity is unacceptable for a modern hotel brand. While other aspects of the stay may have been fine, the inability to work or relax properly due to the dismal internet truly ruined the experience. If you need to work remotely or rely on the internet for your stay, you must choose another hotel.
